Bailando International Dance Festival provides a culturally rich and inclusive dance experience, including educational interactions for students, professionals, choreographers, and companies. The Festival builds a platform for scholarship, networking, and community expression, preparing and serving the future of performers and audiences. .

A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT BAILANDO...
In September 2000, Bailando Dance Festival was first initiated as a part of Corpus Christi Concert Ballet's Dance Initiative, encouraging local dance studios and companies to perform works of art under the stars at the outdoor Cole Park Amphitheater in Corpus Christi, Texas.  After 20 years, Bailando has become an international dance festival and is now its own 501 (c) 3 organization. It has grown into a full weekend event featuring evening dance concerts and master classes in a variety of dance styles, all held at the sparkling Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.  Bailando has provided the South Texas community with culturally diverse works of dance performed by companies and individuals from areas throughout North and Central America!

What is Bailando's mission?

Bailando not only engages dance students throughout the event weekend, but also brings dance into local schools through our Educational Outreach program! The goal is to inspire young people to be active physically while exposing them to arts education with the help of our professional guest artists.
