Stephanie Sermas currently performs professionally with Houston City Dance, where she is beginning her tenth season. As a staff member at Houston City Dance, she teaches a variety of classes, including all levels of tap, as well as choreographs for the Professional Company and the Ensemble. Her tap choreography can be seen in Houston City Dance’s successful Urban Ballet, where she combines intricate tap rhythms with hip-hop dance styles in “Me Against the World.” Previously, Houston City Dance performed her tap tribute to women’s baseball, “Batter Up!” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. After graduating from Georgetown University, Stephanie earned a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Houston and holds certifications to teach Dance and Theater in Texas public schools.
