Suhasini Muthukrishnan is a multi-talented dancer, specializing in Bharatha Natyam and other folk dances. It was the totality of the dance form of Bharatha Natyam, the combination of expressions, music, rhythm and dance that inspired her.
While training at Kalakshetra, Suhasini completed not only her schooling but also her Bachelor’s degree in Commerce. She has had the privilege to work with numerous dancers and choreographers such as Prof. Shri. C.V. Chandrashekhar, The Dhananjayans, Late. Smt. Krishnaveni Lakshmanan, Smt. Ambika. S. Buch, Ms. Lakshmi Vishwanathan, Shri. G. Narendra, Smt. Radhika Surjit, Actor Vineeth and L. Narendra Kumar to name a few which has not only widened her perspective and opened horizons but also made her the dancer she is today. In 2017, Suhasini was conferred as an empaneled artist by the prestigious Indian Government's Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). She is also a member of the International Dance Council CID at UNESCO, the official world-wide organization for dance.
As the founder of Sharmadayini academy, she now teaches dance enthusiasts with the same dedication and conviction with which she learnt, and in the process loving every second of dancing and never compromising on quality.
Recent Performances :
In 2017, Suhasini was adjudicated as one of the best dance choreographer by Bailando Dance Festival. She has also performed and conducted dance workshops at the prestigious Harvard Divinity School (HDS) UNESCO Congress at St.Petersburg, Russia.
